How to Style Leggings for Work and for Play
If you are like me, then you stocked up on the leggings and matching lounge sets this time two years ago when our idea of an outing was a walk around the neighborhood. Now that we are back to work, I needed to find ways to style these pieces for more than just couch surfing. Check out these outfits for ideas of how to style your leggings to work or out on the town.
Leggings and Shackets
Grab your shacket and combat boots for this trend! Because shackets tend to be more oversized, they make the perfect pair with leggings because they still hide the bum. Normally, I try to only incorporate one trend per outfit, but I think most of these pieces will last longer than just this season. And if you have not grabbed a pair of combat boots yet, I highly recommend this pair!

Leggings and Sneakers
Pair your leggings with these cute sneakers and a fancier top to elevate your look. This turtleneck is a little bit oversized, which makes it a perfect compliment for these leggings. I also added a button down shirt underneath for a little warmth, all while adding a unique feature.
Classic All Black
When in doubt, pair your leggings with all black (or any color to make it a monochromatic look). All black is such a classic look, especially in the winter. I actually wore this exact look to a dinner party last month and felt so chic in it. Pair it with these black sunglasses and you have the ultimate movie star look.
Leggings and Flannels
If I were cool enough, I would tie this flannel around my waist and add a baseball cap. This is the perfect weekend look. You have the flannel to tie around your waist to cover your backside or to wear if you get cold, and the plaid also helps add in some color to the black leggings. This is definitely a weekend outfit that will be on repeat.
Leggings and the Classic Oversize Sweater
There is a reason this is the classic combo and it is definitely not a trend that will go away any time soon. It is also one of the most versatile looks. You can pair your leggings with combat boots, heels, or sneakers depending on what you are doing. The key is making sure that your sweater is long enough in the back. Also, now that vests are on trend, try finding an oversized vest to pair with a turtleneck to mimic this same look.
The only other legging combo that I didn't cover was your favorite leggings with an oversized boyfriend blazer. For a classic date night look, grab a pair of black leggings, a white oversized blazer, red lipstick, and black heels!
