My Honest Review and Experience with Chicwish
If you have been following me for a while then you know my love for unique details and feminine style runs deep. Just like some people are with dresses with pockets, show me a top with a bow detail, an all neutral outfit for winter, or a tulle skirt that may be a little too much for the work place and I am sold on the spot.
I have been shopping items from Chicwish for years. The first piece I bought was the classic sweater with heart details, followed by the iconic rainbow sundress, and you may know them from their pom pom heart cardigan or their stylish midi skirts. however, I have also gotten a lot of questions about their shipping, quality of products, customer service, and over all worth, so this blog post is dedication to answering all of those questions.
What is Chicwish and where are they located?
Chicwish is a company based out of China, and if you order from them you clothes will ship from China. The price-point is a little higher than from other companies that are over seas, with the average dress being around $60. However, for the pieces that I have ordered and seen, this is a great price-point for the quality that you are getting. Outerwear can be a little higher, but again, you are paying for the quality and these pieces will not unravel after one wear and wash.
How long is shipping?
I had two separate orders from Chicwish, one from my own order that I placed and one from an order they placed for me while working on a collaboration. Both orders took the same amount of time: just over a week, but under 2 weeks. After placing the orders, I immediately got shipping notifications so I could track each step of the process. Through this, the majority of the time the product spent in the warehouse, but once it was on its way, the transit time to my house was minimal. I have read that even if you select the fast shipping option, the likelihood of receiving your order within a week is not great, so keep that in mind when choosing an option.

Where else can you buy Chicwish?
Did you know that you can also find Chicwish pieces on Amazon?? I actually ordered this Chicwish sweater from their Amazon site and the shipping was much faster. There are also some items that are part of Amazon prime so the shipping was very fast, but even for non-prime items the shipping was under a week.
Here is the link for the Chicwish store on Amazon. Just keep in mind that you cannot apply the promo codes that Chicwish is almost always running on their own site. So it is a give and take: use the promo codes with longer shipping, or order through Amazon with shorter shipping times but no promo codes.
What did I order?
When shopping on Chicwish's website, it can be a little overwhelming because there are so many great pieces and categories. So I think it is helpful to go in with a plan. Right now, I am shopping for spring transition pieces and outfits I can wear to wedding showers, weddings, and baby showers. I am also always on the hunt for workwear pieces. Below are my top picks for these categories.
A quick note about sizing: make sure to measure and check the website. Everything I ordered fit perfectly and I give credit to my tape measure and the accurate sizing listed on the website.
Winter Essentials
Those long, cold months can easily make you want to turn to sweatshirts and leggings, but for work, I need a few more options. Options that are cute, but also warm. These pieces from Chicwish are not only perfect for the workplace but also versatile enough for other events you may have afterwards.
I followed the measurements listed and the reviews left by other customers and each of these pieces fit perfectly. Shout out to those of you who take the time to leave detailed reviews! They really help. Also, the quality and fabric was just as I had anticipated, with maybe only a slight variation on the cream sweater dress. One note about the skirt in the middle, it has shorts underneath!
Spring Transition Pieces
The key to a good winter wardrobe is to have chic pieces that also transition into spring. This means brighter colors, softer patterns, and pieces that can be layered for cold mornings and warmer afternoons. In my opinion, these are the styles that Chicwish excels in. I am a fan of the feminine details and softer fabrics, but love the quality even more.
One of my goals for this year was to focus on buying pieces that were classic and withstand just one season of wear. This can be hard to achieve with all of the tulle styles that Chicwish has, but I had zero issues with the tulle being frayed.
Easter and Special Occasion Outfits
I cannot wait to be back in white and floral dresses for spring and summer. With graduations, baby showers, bridal showers, and vacations, it never hurts to have a few dresses on hand for each event. For me, I need at least one white dress, one good sun dress, and one other dress that can easily serve as a wedding guest dress if needed to complete a capsule spring and summer dress wardrobe. Each of these pieces can be layered with a denim jacket for work or cold spring mornings. You could also throw on a cardigan or switch up your shoes for a classic fall look. Multipurpose. That is the name of the game for me and really what has been guiding my purchases this year.
If I could choose just one outfit from each of the above categories I would go with the black and white sweater dress, the tan coatigan, and the white dress. But, why choose just one...treat yourself!
