4 Outfit Options For Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving week is officially here! If you're like us, you have friendsgiving, family dinners, family lunches, and even our own celebration at the house. The menus will all be the same, but I need different outfits for different events! Check out this post for 4 different Thanksgiving outfits depending on your plans.
Thanksgiving Lunch
If your Thanksgiving day starts early with a family lunch with more to come later in the day, a flowy dress is definitely a good option. I like the long sleeves on this one because even with the sun, the day tends to be a little cold. The flowyness of this dress with the empire waist is great to hide that food baby from multiple rounds of rolls, mashed potatoes, and turkey. Throw on this hat and tall boots if your lunch will be outside!
Friendsgiving
For me, Friendsgiving outfits tend to be a little more dressy. It is a great chance to get together with friends, drink some wine, and see all of the random Tupperware dishes people use to bring their food. Also, you have to be prepared if the party continues to a different location later in the night! For this look, I paired a bodysuit that will definitely stretch if needed (and can be a great layering piece if needed), a suede skirt in a fall color, and these tall boots that I snagged from the Nsale earlier in the year.
Thanksgiving as an All Day Event
If your family events start early in the day and goes all through the night, then you definitely need pieces that you can layer. This bodysuit is a great option that is very stretchy with long sleeves, so you can throw anything on top of it. I found this wrap recently and think it adds a chic look to this outfit. Plus, the colors are great for fall. You can also swap out these flare jeans to skinny jeans and tall boots if you are going to be walking around outside or watching the family flag football game.
Thanksgiving First, Black Friday Shopping Later
This outfit is a must if your family has Thanksgiving for dinner and then everyone hits the road for black Friday shopping. The leggings are dressy enough they look great for dinner, but are agile enough you can fight off the crazy shoppers. Also, the combat boots are a must. You have got to have reliable footwear when running through the aisles of Target, ones that keep your feet warm if you are in the line outside of the store, but also look cool enough your nieces will be asking about them. Pair it with this tunic sweater that will keep you warm but is long enough to make this outfit family appropriate.
