NSale 2021
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
July 2021
It's that time of year again! Better known as my Christmas in July, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts this month for cardholders and the general public. Let me first say that you do not need to buy anything! Every year I feel like I get swept up in all of the try-on's, the must-have products, and the "run, it's is going to sell out" messages, but if you go into the sale with a plan and stick to it, you can't go wrong.
One of the great things about the sale is that it features items for fall and winter and not things from past seasons. At this point, I am ready to move on to sweaters and booties, so this is a great time to grab some of those things. Nordstrom also features hair and beauty products with really great discounts so make sure to pay attention to those and grab what you need.
NSale Dupes
Save vs. Splurge
Did your favorite item sell out before you had a chance to purchase it? Did your order get cancelled because they ran out of stock? Or do you have remorse over not clicking buy for that one item and now it is full price? No matter the reason, I have found the best NSale dupes for some of this year's most popular pieces, and most are only a fraction of the price.

Past Purchases That I Love
What's On My Wishlist
When shopping the sale, I have two pieces of advice:
1. Look for investment pieces (like the Tory Burch riding boots or the Steve Madden boots)
2. Create a Wish List for the things you want so you can easily check out the day you are able to shop.
Full disclosure, I cannot shop the sale until the general public can because I don't feel the need to have another credit card. That means that a lot of things have sold out or will sell quickly once everyone has access, so you have to be ready to click buy on the things you want. This is what is on my list for this year.
My Wishlist
Knee high boots: this is my number one pick for my wishlist this year. I have had a dupe for these from Target for years, but I am ready for an upgrade. This is usually the most inexpensive that I see them so I am going to go ahead and snag them this year.
Donna Karen deodorant: this deodorant has a cult following and is always sold out. In fact, I am a little nervous about this being sold out before the general public gets to buy it. I haven't been able to get my hands on it but I have heard it is amazing and smells great too.
Diamond earrings: every year, I see people buying these and I have heard nothing but good things about them. They will be on sale for about $25 and worth it for me. Earrings are the one piece of jewelry I wear every day so I know I will get good use out of them.
Tory Burch earrings: I just really like these and they are only around $60. So, why not?!
Black and nude heels: I always stock up on work shoes at the beginning of the year and these have great reviews are at a good price point. The nude heels are around 3 inches, which is the perfect height for work, and the black are closer to 4 inches.
Pink mules: I like these and they are pink. That's it.
New Additions!
Pink loafers: this is my backup pair in case the other pink loafers sell out before I can shop.
Gold sandals: As soon as I added these they sold out in my size! I am going to keep these on my list and keep refreshing, hoping they come back in stock when I can shop.
Splurge Items
Spanx leggings: I held out on these for as long as I could and finally caught them during the half-yearly sale and I can say they are worth it. Do you need several of the same pairs, probably not. But do you need a few different ones, most likely. Most people say they go up a size, but I have found them to run TTS and went with my normal medium.
North face jacket: I invested in a long puffer jacket this past year and it was a great investment. I like it because it is longer and keeps my booty warm in the winter 😁
Tory Burch bags: there are a couple that I have my eye on (like this one) but these are also good options. These bags hold up so well and the chain detail adds a great touch. I tend to stay with more neutral colors when it comes to more expensive purses so both the brown and black are on my list.
Good American jeans: I have been waiting to try a pair of these and have heard people RAVE about them. They are usually on sale throughout the year, though, so if you don't grab a paring during the NSale, check back throughout the year and you can find several for under $100.
Stuart Weitzman over the boot: these are probably considered the holy grail of over the knee boots and people who have them, love them. However, they are definitely an investment. I have a pair from Amazon that look very similar. You can also check out these for another good option at a lower price point.
Barefoot dreams cardigan: this is the cult favorite blanket in cardigan form. Just as cozy and comfortable as the blanket and a great piece for fall and winter.
Bernardo jacket: I like to invest in a great jacket every year and this may be the one. I like the color (I have so many black jackets!) and really like the trench-style.
Ideas for Men
I have either purchased these for my husband or will be purchasing them during the sale. He is pretty particular when it comes to clothing items so all of these picks have been vetted through him and come highly recommended.
Vineyard vines polo: this one is the performance fabric and there are a couple of color options still available. Last time I checked, this particular one was sold out, but always keep an eye out for re-stocks. Things usually come back at some point.
Vineyard vines 1/4 zip: I have bought one of these every year during the sale for my husband and will buy another one this year as well. They are just so good to have during the Fall and winter and can really dress up an outfit (do guys call it an outfit...🤷🏼♀️)
Vineyard vines button down: just another staple that looks good and can be worn for work or out on the town.
Athletic shorts: these shorts have 2 out of 3 things going for them that make them a must-buy: pockets and a drawstring waist (apparently that is important when running so they don't fall down). It does have a mesh liner, so if your guy doesn't like that, then just cut it out.
Cole Haan shoes: I actually prefer the zero grand style but these are such a good work shoe. I even have a pair! Nick has several of these and they last forever.
Peter Millar golf shorts: If you have a guy in your life who golfs, these are the shorts for them. Moisture-wicking fabric and a good design overall. Coming from a golfer, I would never recommend a golf product that doesn't actually work isn't functional!
