Top 3 all-inclusive resorts in Cancun for every budget
If you are searching for the best all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, I’ve got you. I have actually stayed at these resorts, and I recommend them with zero hesitation. I chose one luxury option, one mid-range value pick, and one budget-friendly resort so you can book the right Cancun all-inclusive for your style and your wallet. Below, I am breaking down the beach, rooms, food, vibe, and who each resort is best for, plus a few booking tips that will make your trip smoother.
Best Luxury All-Inclusive Resort: Maroma
We first visited Maroma on a day trip while staying at another resort in the Riviera Maya, but we knew immediately we had to get back. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the amenities were both fun and relaxing.
Rooms and Views:
From the Deluxe Rooms to the Oceanfront Villas, there is really no bad room to book at this resort. We stayed in the One Bedroom Oceanfront, and it was the perfect distance away from some of the late-night pool noise and close enough to the ocean that you could wake up to the sound of waves. I recommend starting your day with a room service breakfast and then heading straight to the white, sandy beach to grab a chair and umbrella.
Food and Drinks:
The best part about Maroma was the pool and beachside food that they offered every day. From the pizza made fresh daily right by the pool to the pop-up lunches, all the food was delicious. There was a different lunch by the pool every day, and our favorite was the paella!
Pools, Beach. and Activities:
The perfect vacation for me is a mix of activities and relaxation. So if you are looking for entertainment, there is beach and pool volleyball daily, but also one of the biggest pools we have seen. It is so big that you can grab a book, swim to the side facing the ocean, and read without bumping into people every few feet.
Who Would Love This Resort:
This is an adults-only resort that would be perfect for a relaxing getaway, honeymoon, or a special occassion and you are looking to splurge a little. Overall, the resort was fairly quiet, so if you are looking for more of a party scene, maybe check out the next spot.
Best Mid_range All-Inclusive Resort: Breathless Riviera Maya
If you are looking for a combination of party atmosphere, but also quiet and relaxation, then Breathless Riviera Maya is the best resort for you.
Rooms and Views:
Because this resort is more budget-friendly, I would definitely recommend splurging a little more on the room. We stayed in the Junior Suite Swim Out Tropical room, and I would highly recommend this one. You have a shared swim-out pool that was on the beach, with unobstructed beach views. It almost felt like we had our own private beach!
Food and Drinks:
One of our favorite parts about this resort was the main bar at the front of the pool. It was the gathering place both during the day and at night. Often, most all-inclusive resorts are pretty spread out, so if you are looking for a lively bar before dinner, there aren’t many options. That is not the case with Breathless. They had someone making espresso martinis every night, and they were hands down the best espresso martinis I have ever had. There was also a bloddy mary cart in the mornings. If you are interested in the hibachi dinner, make sure to book this in advance!
Pools, Beach. and Activities:
On vacation, we typically start our day at the beach and then work our way over to the pool. However, the beach was pretty narrow, and there wasn’t much room for chairs, so we spent the majority of this trip at the pool. The pool had areas you could rent for the day, direct access to the main bar, waiters bringing drinks, and even bunny pads so you could lounge in the sun.
Who Would Love This Resort:
This is an adults-only resort that would be perfect for those who are looking for a combination of nightlife and relaxation, or even a girls trip. Each night, there was a show or a dance party and the entertainment team did a great job. However, if you are looking more for relaxation, the Breathless Resort is right next to the Sandals Resort. The Sandals side is quieter, but you still get access to everything on the Breathless side.
Best Budget-Friendly all-inclusive resort: Chic Royalton
This was our first high-rise all-inclusive resort, and I absolutely loved the layout. Almost every room, including the gym, looked out over the ocean.
Rooms and Views:
Almost every single room at the Chic Royalton is a suite and oceanfront, so it is hard to go wrong when booking. We stayed in the Luxury Suite Oceanfront, which had a sitting room off the bedroom, right when you walked in. Typically, rooms can be small at all-inclusive resorts, so the fact that all rooms at Chic Royalton are suites was a bonus.
Food and Drinks:
Because the resort is a high-rise, there wasn’t one specific spot where most people gathered before or after dinner. Most restaurants were indoors, which could be a benefit if you visit in the middle of the summer and need some relief from the heat.
Pools, Beach. and Activities:
I would consider the Chic Royalton the perfect spring break vacation spot for the GenZ crowd. It is very close to downtown Cancun, so you can easily catch a cab to the clubs and bars. My biggest piece of advice is to upgrade to the Diamond Club. At most resorts, there isn’t a big difference in priority members and other members (and sometimes you can use the amenities without being in the priority club), but it makes a difference at this one. The beach is physically split into two sections: Diamond Club and regular guests.
Who Would Love This Resort:
This is an adults-only resort that would be perfect for those who want a true Cancun spring break-style vacation. The beach is small, but there is enough room to spread out your chairs. There is only one pool, but it is typically packed with guests, parties, and activities.
